Top 10 ways of using Garlic

Here are my favourite top 10 ways of using garlic. Garlic has been proven to have many health and medicinal benefits. For thousands of years, ancient civilization have been using garlic as medicine and food. It is hence imperative that we incorporate garlic as much as possible in our diet in many different ways as much as possible.

Roasted Garlic
My favourite garlic recipe is the Roasted Garlic, where garlic plays the star ingredient. I don’t know who first invented the Roasted Garlic recipe, but it began showing up at trendy restaurants at about 10 years ago. And boy, was that ever a pleasant surprise! I couldn’t imagine that you could eat garlic in such quantities. Basically, the appetizer plate consisted of whole garlic roasted in olive oil, tasty, sweet and buttery soft and spreadable over baguette bread.

Simply chop off the top of the garlic clove,
peel off the paper skins,
drizzle with olive oil,
sprinkle with sea salt,
wrap the cloves in aluminim foil.
roast in the oven at 400 degree F for 1 hour.
Let cool and serve.
The garlic will be so soft, you can get the meat out by squeezing the bottom of the clove.
The result is so good, I suggest that you can do this whenever you are cooking something in the oven.

Garlic as pizza topping
The first time I had garlic as a pizza topping was at a pizza restaurant. Whole roasted garlic was included along with pepperoni, olive, red pepper, mushrooms, etc as a topping. Once again, what a delightful treat. You can use whole roasted garlic or sliced garlic slivers as pizza topping.
